DELHI/ CHANDIGARH [By Air] – Dharamshala [252 Km / 8 Hrs]
Morning after b/fast around 0900 hrs leave the hotel for airport to connect flight for Chandigarh. Upon arrival Chandigarh airport around 1230 hrs transfer to Dharamshala “Originally a little hill resort” built by the British, Dharamshala is now the main hill station in the Kangra Valley and is also the headquarter of district Kangra. Dharamshala lies between the Shivalik Hills and the foothills of the mighty Dhauladhars. Blessed with marvelous landscapes, Dharamshala is a traveller’s paradise—lofty snow peaks, deep gorges, lush green valleys, manicured tea gardens, wooded hills, gushing rivers, enchanting mountain lakes, flower-adorned meadows, beautiful temples and striking monasteries.

Dharamshala [Full Day Tour]
Morning after b/fast visit McLeod Gunj , Bhagsunag, Dal Lake, Dalai Lama Temple and St.John Church. Later visit Kangra Art Musemum, Kunal Pathari, Tea Garden and War Memorial. Back to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Tibet has lent importance to Mcleod Ganj. The Buddha temple is situated opposite the present abode of His Holiness, the Dalai Lama. This place is well worth a visit and around it is situated Tibetan monasteries and nunnery. A number of residential buildings, restaurants, antique and curio shops are present.
11 km. It has an old temple, a spring, slate quarries and a small yet beautiful waterfall. A popular picnic spot.
The lake lies amidst hills and stately fir trees. Dal Lake is bout three kilometers from McLeod Gunj and eleven kilometers from Dharamshala, next to the Tibetan Children's Village. This small lake is brownish in color and not nearly as impressive as other lakes in Himachal Pradesh.
Tsuglagkhang (Dalai Lama's Temple)
Tsuglagkhang is the most important Buddhist monument in McLeodganj. It enshrines three magnificient images, including an enormous gilt statue of Shakyamuni, statues of Valokitesvara and Padamasambhava, or Guru Rinpoche, and the Indian scholar who introduced Buddhism and Tantric teachings to Tibet in the 8th century.
Church Of St. John
In The Wilderness Fifteen minutes' walk from McLeod Gunj, the Anglican Church lies in the forest near Forsyth Gunj. This neo-Gothic stone church was built in 1852 and has some fine Belgian stained-glass windows.
This is around 3 km. A level walks from Kotwali Bazar leads up to the rock temple of the local goddess.
It is a very beautiful place to visit. This memorial is built near the entry point to Dharamshala. It was built to commemorate the memory of those who fought in defense of the motherland,
After B/fast free for relax or enjoy optional activities. Afternoon around 1230 hrs buffet lunch at hotel. After lunch around 1530 hrs go for shopping. Evening around 1800 hrs back to hotel. Later approx 1930 hrs enjoy the group dinner in separate ballroom. Overnight stay at hotel.
Morning after B/fast excursion to Masroor Rock Cut Temple and Kangra Fort. PM back to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Masroor Rock Cut Temple
Fifteen richly carved monolithic rock temples sculpted in the splendid style of the Kailash temple at Ellora and dating back to the 8th century are to be found at Masrur, just 15-kms south of Kangra. Images of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita and Lakhsman can be found in the sanctum of the main temple.
Kangra Fort. Built at the confluence of Banganga and Manjhi streams, this fort has confronted various plunders as well as natural onslaughts. Kangra fort is located at a convenient distance of 17 kms from Dharamshala. Enjoy a vacation in Himachal Pradesh and take an exclusive tour to the Kangra fort that is the oldest and the largest historical remains in Himachal Pradesh as well as India. Believed to be belonging to the 1009 AD, this fort was built by the royal family of Kangra. The fort is pedestaled on a steep rock in Purana Kangra (translates to Old Kangra), which dominating the surrounding valley. The Kangra fort has seen several invasions over a vast period of time. It saw its rulers in the Kashmiris as well as the British.
Dharamshala – CHANDIGARH/ DELHI [By Air]
Morning leave Dharamshala proceed for Chandigarh airport to connect flight for Delhi. Upon arrival Delhi airport around 1830 hrs, transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
After b/fast check out from hotel and transfer to International airport to connect flight for onward destination.

Water-Must drink mineral water only and many good companies in India have mineral water but don’t drink tap water. All five star hotels have good purified water and it is safe for brushing your teeth etc.
Voltage-India has 220 voltage so if you are carrying hair dryers or any electric gadget they need converter and also they need adapter because in India the plugs are all round in shape and in USA they are flat.
Rupee is national currency. You can change the currency in all the hotels or at the airport, There are authorized money changes also in cities, do take a receipt whenever you en-cash any foreign currency. Credit cards are accepted at most places. ATM machines are also available at various places
To carry - Sept and beginning of Oct will be still warm actually hot so carry clothes for summer. We suggest people not to carry expansive clothes as there is so much driving and walking and they get ruined. Carry as much as cotton clothes in summers.
Regarding shorts -you can wear them but please remember that in every city you will be going to either a temple or mosque and these are not appropriate for religious places as you need to cover below the knees. Skirts which are below the knee length, capri, pants and jeans are fine. Shirts with short sleeves are fine as well. Also carry good walking shoes as there is lots of walking in the trip.
Please try to travel light. Also you can carry another folding or light bag so that you can fill that with the items you buy in India
As per the Government of India we don’t need any shots but again please check with your doctor. We do recommend to take malaria pills or repellion as some parts in country still Malaria prone.
