Sarchu (also known as Sir Bhum Chun) is a major halt point with tented accommodation in the Himalayas on the Leh-Manali Highway, on the boundary between Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh (Jammu and Kashmir) in India. It is situated between Baralacha La to the south and Lachulung La to the north, at an altitude of 4,290 m.
Leh is a beautiful Himalayan destination in Ladakh, North India. Its a dream destination of almost every biker. Leh is the second largest district in the country. Its elevation is approximately 3555 meters (11,490 feet). Leh is a small town, easy to get most places by foot.
Nubra Valley about 150 km north of Leh is where the Shyok River meets the Siachan River to form a large valley seperating the Ladakh and Karakoram Ranges. Siachen Glacier lies to the north of the valley.

We will welcome you upon arrive at Manali and assist you to the hotel. After relax, some rest and lunch, take test ride the bikes to get familiar with the machines. Later visit the 16th century Hadimba Temple and around.
MANALI – TANDI (115 KMS / 05 HOURS APPROX)
Today we are ready to start our journey to Leh stopover at Tandi for a night crossing the Rohtang Pass (3978 m) and reaching Keylong (3350 m). Upon arrival in Keylong we check in at our tented campsite for an overnight stay.
TANDI – SARCHU (120 KMS / 05 HOURS APPROX)
Today we start from Tandi to reach Sarchu crossing Keylong (3350 m), Baralacha Pass (4890m) with overnight stopover at Sarchu (4253 m), border of the states of Himachal Pradesh (Lahaul) and Jammu & Kashmir (Ladakh). Upon arrival in Sarchu we check in at our tented campsite for an overnight stay.
SARCHU - LEH (251 KMS / 10 HOURS APPROX)
Leave for Leh by early morning, through Nakeela and Lachangla Pass 16,617 ft. Lunch at Pang. After Lunch ride to Leh passing through Skyangchu Thang (Biggest and Highest Plateau on Earth on Stretch of 42 Kms), Tanglang La Pass 17,585ft and Indus Valley. Upon arrival in Leh you’ll met by our representative and check in at our Hotel.
Enjoy riding in Leh. Visit Shanti Stupa and nearby places around Leh.
LEH – NUBRA (120 KMS / 05 HRS)
After an early breakfast we ride to Nubra valley through Khardungla Pass (the highest motorable road in the world) at 18,380 ft, around 39 kms from Leh. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Visit Sumur, samstaling monastery and Panamik Hot springs.
IN NUBRA (80 KMS / 4 HRS)
Morning ride to the other side of the river and visit the Diskit monastery and Hunder sand dunes. After some time, ride back to the resort. Evening at leaisure
NUBRA - PANGONG LAKE (180 KMS / 09 HOURS APPROX)
After an early breakfast we leave for Pangong Lake through Warila pass 17,300 feet (5,250m) and reach Sakti where we stop for lunch. After a short halt we ride again to cross the Changla pass 5486m. Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China. Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable.

PANGONG LAKE TO LEH (145 KMS / 06 HOURS APPROX)
After breakfast, we ride back to Leh enroute visiting Thiksey monastery an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village & Shey, the ancient capital of Ladakh. Ride further to Leh and check in at our hotel for overnight stay.
LEH - SARCHU
Post early breakfast ride on the Manali route to reach Sarchu. Overnight at camps in Sarchu
SARCHU - MANALI- DEPART MANALI
Water-Must drink mineral water only and many good companies in India have mineral water but don’t drink tap water. All five star hotels have good purified water and it is safe for brushing your teeth etc.
Voltage-India has 220 voltage so if you are carrying hair dryers or any electric gadget they need converter and also they need adapter because in India the plugs are all round in shape and in USA they are flat.
Rupee is national currency. You can change the currency in all the hotels or at the airport, There are authorized money changes also in cities, do take a receipt whenever you en-cash any foreign currency. Credit cards are accepted at most places. ATM machines are also available at various places
To carry - Sept and beginning of Oct will be still warm actually hot so carry clothes for summer. We suggest people not to carry expansive clothes as there is so much driving and walking and they get ruined. Carry as much as cotton clothes in summers.
Regarding shorts -you can wear them but please remember that in every city you will be going to either a temple or mosque and these are not appropriate for religious places as you need to cover below the knees. Skirts which are below the knee length, capri, pants and jeans are fine. Shirts with short sleeves are fine as well. Also carry good walking shoes as there is lots of walking in the trip.
Please try to travel light. Also you can carry another folding or light bag so that you can fill that with the items you buy in India
As per the Government of India we don’t need any shots but again please check with your doctor. We do recommend to take malaria pills or repellion as some parts in country still Malaria prone.
